Regards to CPMA, it is a nice mod; but if you got a 130 ping and the opponent got 30 or less ping it is a really pain in the ass (they can saw you, ear you, and shoot you faster than you think); and believe me it is really difficult tracking some one with air control, with a difference of 80 to 100 ping.


Besides CPMA permit the "windows TM" shadow bug, I mean lot of people use the cg_shadows 1 and got the shados signal where are you accros walls and the floor (i know that is a bug for windows new drivers only), so put all that stuff together and you find it is not so nice to play it, some times.

I must accept CPMA is beyoind of me, It is so dam difficult. But is nice.

Duck Pond (DP) is nice as it is, it is smooth and if some player like tlaloc that got a windows 2003 server OS, still can play Q3, (there is a problem with PB and OS encryptation "PB side"), I know some players came and abuse of their settings becouse DP has not PB but still is nice.

FFA VQ3 is a mod where you can stay in touch with a lot of people and for a lot of us (at least for me) that is important, the quake 3 community is smaller day to day but new players appear time to time and if they need to dowload all the cpma mod plus some maps they leave the server and try to play in another place.

just come play vq3cpma..it really is nice and its custom maps with no cpm movement unless the guys vote it but most peeps like the osp feel of it. its mostly cool people that have been playin q3 for years that all of us know (diet, uncle, me, rude, ozz, accept, jet etc)..not noobs and cheaters. Theres a mappack for the server here called shayders mappack.

as far as the ping goes I know how you feel, I played for years with 100 plus ping, as a matter of fact when I play at shayders with 75 0r 85 ping its the lowest I have ever played with. Still higher than most. I think you just have to have fun, get some frags, have some laughs and chat with some cool peeps. thats what i get out of it.

I just install FC6 over my old linux and dont feel so nice, but I as soon i fell confortable with it, i connect to shayders.

Just one question at what time you all normally connect?

a 100 ping in cpma is still much more playable than a 100 ping in baseq. can we all agree on that?
