I really dont know why but since i upgrade to the cpma 1.4 (i really think its the last pb update) i cant connet two pc to a game.

Let me explain i had several pc at my office and use a router to connect to the internet.

maybe a two months ago pb made a major upgrade and i had a buch o problems with the pc that not has win xp home (i have a few who got the professional and the 2003 server) afther serveral attemps i can use the win2003 server one but the other works fine just touching te permits.

Ok now the problem is back i dont know why but if i connect 2 or more pcs to the same server the ping of the all the pcs goes to the sky and you cant play any more, if you stay for a while you can play 30 secs and then freeze for maybe 3 or 4 min and you can play another 30 sec.

at the beguining i believe it was a router problem but are the same settings that previously work.

afther i made the upgrade at the pb and obtain the os prevelieege problems, i give the previleege to the user and everything works fine well at least at sittingduck server where normally we used to play (where is duckpound now Sad )

but now we cant play at any place and it looks like an ip conflict.

if some of you had any idea i apreciate very much.

Have you tried different (non standard) ports? Why are you using punkbuster on a LAN? Kill that for sure. One less problem source.....
Are you running a dedicated server? What is in your commandline?
It should look something like this:
    quake3 +set dedicated 2 +set com_hunkmegs <n> +set sv_pure 1 +set fs_game cpma +set vm_game 2 +exec <cfg-name>.cfg

thank you for answering duck Smile

You know im not traing to setup a server im traing to play at your servers (shayders or duckpond) so im need the pb for connect to some external servers.

The lan server is not an option becouse it is very borring just three players plus me and tlaloc with a 4 ping i mean thats not my game style.

it is really wird becouse the firewall works perfectly before, well we just play at duckpound but now i dont know if some servers like shayders, adults only and water works are using some kind of ip blocking.

Im going to try different ports for the pc as you suggest.

    Regards

Ok, I thought you meant the pings were going up on the LAN. I have seen the same thing when connecting more than once to internet servers from my network. I know it used to work, but the last few times I tried, I saw what you are getting, very high pings in one or more pcs.

I don't know how to correct it, maybe opening ports in the router will help?

Hey look at that one I know how to fix that ducky dont.I used to have this same problem.Try this right click the shortcut on the desktop for Q3 go to properties the command line should be something like "C:\programfiles\quake3 arena\q3exe" change that to "C:\programfiles\quake3 arena\q3exe +setnet_port 27660" on one and "C:\programfiles\quake3 arena\q3exe +setnet_port 27661" on the other.Your just adding + setnet_port and a port #.

    Hope it helps,
