Quake III Videos

Hey ... Long time no see DK .... I cant remember log in info for old ES.Stickman account so I created a new on without the ES since i really dont want to represent ES anyway with all the crap that goes on with them...lol

But anyway i am looking for a link to a Quake video that i could of swore was posted on this website before .. its an awsome video that took like over a year to create and its proibably the best q3 vid ive ever seen ..
Its one of those "trick jumping" videos and it was like a huge filesize download and im not sure about this but i think MAYBE the name of it was "laerning to fly" or something like that but i could be wrong here...

if anyone knows of this video and where i can download it it would be greatly apreciated .....thanks

oh and one more note here I was bored a while back when i used to be an admin on vogon servers and i made my own 3 video to show the difference between normal slow Q3 servers and the high speed intensity or vogon servers and if anyone wants to check it out heres a link to it : http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.channel&ContributorID=31096396
and yes i know it shows ES players but after all i was an ES member at the time (nothing to be proud of...lol) and plus ES servers where good place to film the "slow" server parts of the video

I checked out the part two version that u mentioned but i think the first one is allot beter...

I remember you had several videos posted here long ago and not 100% sure that ive found the one i was looking for exactly ... (live to fly is an awsome video but now that ive seen it again im thinking maybe there was one more that was even better) i think it had some sort of desription with it about how it took over a year to make and i think the file size was huge like over a gig but could be totally wrong
please let me know if you have any ideas of which one it is ... i know it was a trick jump vid and maybe it was live to fly i dont know but i could of swore it was such a good vid that it stood out above all the rest...

Another REALLY good one is called "Virtuosity", maybe that's the one you were thinking of?
Others I have that are good are: Tricking-it, and the art of tricking.
DK is pretty low-key these days, I see Stryk9 plyaing once in a while, but that's about it!

but actually i do have the video that im refferring to on my old computer but it has issues and has a raid-0 setup for the hard drives so its a bit of a project to get files from it at this time but if worst comes to worst ill do that and then post a link to it here...

Wow i was looking around after you mentioned the video called "velocity" and found a newer version called velocity 2 by the same person and its one of the best ive seen yet

i was looking through the webarchive site and found a page there for the videos here : http://web.archive.org/web/20060220010006/http://quakefour.net/phpnuke/modules.php?name=Downloads

and you will notice link to videos on that page but unfortionatly ther is not a vopy of the video page in the archive (this page here : http://quakefour.net/phpnuke/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=1 ) that is original address to the page with the actual videos at that time a few years back

and so i am wondering if you built the site (im hoping u did) then maybe you have a backup copy of that page somewhere since that page had details on each video and i will know the exact one by looking at the description... (do you recall having a video that was around 900megs or over a gig in size ? and was there one that in the description it took over a year and a half and several programs to make or something like that
that was almost on a professional level ?

if not its cool... its just that ive been trying to pinpoint that exact video name ever since i wanted to show someone that has never even heard of quake 3 arena in her life and its been driving me crazy ever since

but if we cant figure it out then it is ok too becuase thanks to your help you lead me to the "velocity 2" video and that one is almost as good and will be a good one to use instead... but the other video showed alot more tricks and movement with the weapons and so from other camera angles

(as if i could ever play that good in the game..... where does a person even find maps like that to play on...lol..) that shit takes skills....
i stumbled upon one of those trick jump maps long ago and couldnt even make it down the first hallway or room and gave up

I did build this site, and the site and downloads pages are all database driven... so there is no way to get the info back without restoring old databases, which I no longer have.

I don't recall ever having one hosted that was that large, I think the largest one I had on there was Tribulation at around 600MB.

The only one I have that's larger than that in my computer is live-II-Fly, it's like 3 gigs.
